    • Enters the atelier of Carolus Duran, Paris. Meets John Singer Sargent, Paul Helleu and Henri Toulouse-Lautrec.

    • Begins to share studios in London and Paris with Sargent.

    • Begins to exhibit with the Sociéte des Artistes Francais.
  • 1900
    • Begins to work in lithoraphy.

    • At the Salon d'Autmone an entire room is devoted to his lithographs and paintings. Forty- eight of his lithographs are included in the Centenary exhibition of Isabey and Raffet.
